Goodwill Manasota is thrilled to welcome Katie Van Gompel as its new Vice President of Marketing. With a strong background in marketing and nonprofit leadership, Katie will drive growth, strengthen community engagement, and support Goodwill’s mission of changing lives through the power of work.
About Katie Van Gompel
Katie brings over 20 of experience in marketing and retail operations. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer at Goodwill Industries of North Central Wisconsin. There, she successfully integrated marketing and retail strategies to drive organizational success. Her expertise in mission-driven leadership will be invaluable as Goodwill continues to expand its impact.
Her Role at Goodwill
As Vice President of Marketing, Katie will oversee marketing strategies for Goodwill Manasota’s 27 retail locations. These locations span Sarasota, Manatee, DeSoto, Hardee, and parts of Lee and Charlotte counties. Additionally, she will lead marketing efforts for Goodwill Industries of the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast, a subsidiary acquired in January 2024. Her focus will be on enhancing donor and customer engagement, expanding digital presence, and aligning marketing efforts with Goodwill’s mission.
Impact on the Community
Katie’s leadership will help Goodwill Manasota further its commitment to creating opportunities for individuals and families in need. Currently, Goodwill employs over 1,500 team members—more than 63% of whom have a documented disability or disadvantaging condition. Through jobs, training, and career services, Goodwill continues to transform lives.
