Goodwill Manasota is pleased to announce its 2018-2019 Board of Directors. Peter Crowley continues his tenure as chairman of the board, with past chair Rob Morris holding the title of chair emeritus. New to the board this year are Mike Bryant, Jacqueline Moore and Allen Weinstein; they join directors Steve Boone, Debbie Douglas, Rae Dowling, Rod Hollingsworth, Sandy Kirkpatrick, Alan Maio, Brad West and Richard Wharton.

Mike Bryant is a Bradenton native and co-founder of Fawley Bryant Architects, Inc., a prominent and civic-minded architect firm. He has served on numerous boards, including the Manatee Architects Association, Fire Prevention Code Enforcement Board, Manatee County Board of Zoning Appeals, and the Manatee Chamber Downtown Infill/Redevelopment Committee. As Chairman of the Sarasota Education Foundation, Bryant led the foundation's initial formation of the Workplace/STEM initiative. Other community service includes president of the Manatee Technical Institute Alumni Association, president of the Bradenton Rotary Club, and board member of the Manatee County Boys and Girls Club.

Jacqueline Moore is the founder and president of the Power & Light Company, LLC, providing leadership development, strategic planning, coaching, training, and nonprofit capacity-building to domestic and international clients in varied sectors. She is also the founder of the Kindness Community, a strategic initiative that creates social change whose center is “kindness.” Prior to joining the Goodwill Manasota board of directors, Moore was an enthusiastic Ambassador advocating on behalf of Goodwill in the community. She currently serves on the board of directors for National Civility Center and the North Port Economic Development Corporation. Her community involvement includes more than a dozen local nonprofit organizations.

Allen Weinstein is a retired retail CEO and chief merchandising officer with proven success in developing and executing business and merchandise strategies for high-growth specialty apparel chains and direct-to-consumer businesses. He was an essential part of the success for Body Central, the CATO Corporation, Catherine’s Stores Corporation and Bealls. He is a former board member of Dignity U Wear, now known as Soles for Souls, a nonprofit in Jacksonville, Fla. that provides new clothing to schoolchildren, veterans, and women/girls in need.

“We can only succeed in our mission of changing lives through the power of work if we are all working together toward the same goals. A key element in our success is the leadership from the Board that we have in place at Goodwill Manasota,” said Bob Rosinsky, president and CEO. “Our board’s dedication to removing barriers to employment for people who want to improve their work skills and gain financial independence is clear; we look forward to Mike, Jacqueline and Allen’s service to Goodwill and our community.”
