SARASOTA/BRADENTON, FL – With the help of its Ambassadors – community members who have made a commitment to share the mission of Goodwill with the greater community – and Goodwill team members, Goodwill Manasota has launched its 2017 “I Am Goodwill” marketing campaign. The campaign videos and print materials feature local supporters affirming their support for and dedication to the organization.
More than 100 local celebrity Ambassadors appear in the campaign, including Goodwill Manasota board chair Rob Morris, 92.1 CTQ radio personalities Lulu and Maverick, Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida CEO Susan Stewart, Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee CEO Maribeth Phillips, Trish McConnell of United Way Suncoast, 45-plus year volunteer Jo Rita Stevens, Re/Max Alliance Group co-owner Peter Crowley, and Youth Ambassador and Sony/ATV recording artist Christopher Eisenberg.
“The ‘I Am Goodwill’ campaign uses peer recommendations to showcase our Ambassadors’ power: the power to change lives. When you see your friends, neighbors and colleagues engage with a nonprofit organization, and speak on its behalf to help raise awareness, that is extremely powerful,” said Veronica Brandon Miller, vice president of Goodwill Manasota. “We want to showcase our team members and the amazing work they do while also showing appreciation to our Ambassadors because they understand our mission and help us reach others in the community. Their belief in and passion for our work has helped us to advance our mission and truly change lives for the better.”
The formal launch party for the “I Am Goodwill” campaign will be at iHeart Media (1779 Independence Blvd., Sarasota) on Thursday, February 9 at 5:30 p.m.; community members interested in attending are asked to RSVP to email@example.com.
“Being a part of the ‘I Am Goodwill’ campaign helps others to see that I am a proud supporter of an organization that gives back to this community,” said Christopher Eisenberg. “I hope this will encourage others to learn more about how Goodwill is changing lives through the power of work.”
Goodwill is also inviting members of the public to submit their own photos and reasons why they support the organization – the grassroots campaign will take place on social media and the organization’s website. To participate, and for a chance to have their story be featured, community members are encouraged to submit photos and stories to the Goodwill Manasota Facebook page (facebook.com/GoodwillManasota) or send via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. For social media posts, please use the hashtag #IAmGoodwill.
