SARASOTA/BRADENTON, FL – Goodwill Manasota is preparing to open its newest hybrid retail store at 700 N. Beneva Road in Sarasota – the doors will open to the public on Thursday, October 13 at 9 a.m. The Arthur and Mabel Soine retail store will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The attended donation center (ADC) will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
“Goodwill Manasota strategically places donation centers and retail stores in locations where there is high demand. We are very excited to re-open the store at this location in Sarasota after a five-year hiatus. We believe that the community will love our new hybrid concept, and will especially enjoy the value of the 10,000 items that will be in the new location,” said Bob Rosinsky, Goodwill Manasota president and CEO. “Creating jobs for those with disabilities and other barriers to employment is made possible through the sale of goods donated by this generous community.”
The retail store is named after longtime supporters Arthur and Mabel Soine. The sales floor is approximately 6,000 square feet and will offer more than 10,000 pieces of apparel, along with books, electronics, housewares, new goods, and other eclectic finds. The ADC at this location is approximately 2,400 square feet and has a drive-through for donor convenience. The store also enables Goodwill to continue to enhance its leadership development and job creation initiatives: seven new jobs were created to operate this location.
