Goodwill Manasota promotes from within to increase donated goods sales

Retail operations professional, Dawn Tate, brings three decades of experience to area nonprofit

Goodwill Manasota's Dawn TateSARASOTA/BRADENTON, FL – Goodwill Manasota is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Dawn Tate, who now serves as the organization’s director of donated goods sales. In this role, she oversees Goodwill Manasota’s nine primary stores as well as the occupational trainer coach, in support of the organization’s mission integrated donated goods business.

Tate previously served as regional retail trainer and team lead coach at Goodwill Industries of Northern Nevada, Inc., where she surpassed sales goals and increased customer service and training.      

“As a leader, my role is to inspire, motivate, mentor and seek the greater vision,” said Tate. “My primary focus is to support the core values and guiding principles of Goodwill while building up tomorrow’s leaders.”

Tate is a seasoned retail merchandising and operations professional with extensive knowledge in overall store operations, including donation collections, processing, sales, personnel management, financial performance and asset protection. Her background in customer service, foundational team building, retail stores production, sales and operations, combined with her tenure at Goodwill Industries of Northern Nevada and traditional retail outlets, makes her a valuable member of the Goodwill Manasota team.
