SCOPE's State of EmploymentSARASOTA/BRADENTON, FL – In support of the State of Employment study released by Goodwill Manasota in October 2015, SCOPE (Sarasota County Openly Plans for Excellence) used the information from the study to create an infographic showcasing the results for easier use and understanding. The State of Employment study, which focused on hiring opportunities and challenges faced by veterans and individuals with disabilities, tabulated responses from local businesses and organizations.

Among the issues addressed by the State of Employment study were the difficulty of recruiting and retaining veterans and individuals with disabilities, and unemployment rates within the region and across the country. The infographic created by SCOPE displays the study results in a way that is easy to understand and share. Recently, SCOPE began creating infographics for local organizations in order to streamline information, help facilitate conversations, and improve communication.

“The State of Employment study painted a very clear picture of the current status and the future of employment needs and trends in our community. It contained a lot of information – the infographic created by our partners at SCOPE helped to capture the most important data and put it on display,” said Bob Rosinsky, president and CEO of Goodwill Manasota. “We appreciate the ease with which people will now be able to find and understand the information we want them to take away from the study. We are grateful to SCOPE for the opportunity to streamline this information and put it in the hands of people in our community.”

“Goodwill exists to change lives; SCOPE exists to help people and organizations change lives. We were inspired by the State of Employment study, realized that the information was extremely important and wanted to help bring focus to the heart of the results,” said John McCarthy, SCOPE’s executive director. “Infographics are an important tool that we can use to share information – they can be a conversation- and game-changer. SCOPE is excited to bring this new tool to local organizations – we look forward to helping others share their information throughout our community.”

SCOPE brings together residents, business owners, government officials and organizations to listen, learn and discuss the issues that impact the quality of life in Sarasota County. Since its founding in 2001, SCOPE has focused on possibilities and the power of active citizens to create a better community. To learn more about SCOPE, visit
