SARASOTA/BRADENTON, FL – The approximately 200 Morgan Stanley employees and clients attending the Vita Vining Hermann Denton Group’s annual Christmas party were asked to bring toys and other goods for donation to Goodwill Manasota, and non-perishable food items for the Food Bank of Manatee, to celebrate the “Spirit of Giving” theme. Party guests responded generously: in total, nearly 500 pounds of food, toys and other goods were collected at the event.

“Every year our team selects local organizations that we work with in the community and we try to find a way to impact its ability to help others – especially during the holiday season,” said John Vita, Senior Vice President for The Vita Vining Hermann Denton Group at Morgan Stanley. “We recognize and appreciate the mission of Goodwill and how it changes lives through the power of work by taking donations and creating jobs. That’s something to celebrate this holiday season.”

This is the seventh year that the team has celebrated the “Spirit of Giving” theme – The Vita Vining Hermann Denton Group at Morgan Stanley invites clients and employees to participate in holiday acts of philanthropy. The team also adopts a family every year to help during the holiday season. Organizations helped in the past include Toys for Tots, Wounded Warriors, Southeastern Guide Dogs/Paws for Patriots, Salvation Army Forgotten Angels, and Manasota Operation Troop Support.

“We always appreciate when companies step up to the plate and showcase good corporate social responsibility – The Vita Vining Hermann Denton Group at Morgan Stanley is a shining example. They are great community partners and are constantly finding ways to give back,” said Bob Rosinsky, president and CEO of Goodwill Manasota. “It is inspiring to see a company encourage its employees, clients and supporters to find a cause and become involved; we are excited to be the beneficiary of the event this year.”
